I am holding a PhD granted in 2007 by University of Economic Studies, Bucharest, Romania. I started teaching in 2002 as teaching assistant, currently I am full professor (and PhD students supervisor) at Statistics and Econometrics Department from the same university. Since December 2019 I become part time professor within School of Business, London South Bank University. My main areas of research interests are: statistics and econometrics; quantitative methods in religion; scientometrics; health metrics.
I worked with quantitative methods in Education and Research Ministry (Romania) (2001-2008) and National Institute of Statistics (Romania) (2008-2011). Currently I am part time personal advisor for Secretary of State within Romanian Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization.

Prof Fourie is currently involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules concerning information literacy, information retrieval, information organization, information behavior, and information seeking. Students completing their master's and doctoral studies under her supervision are working on a variety of topics including various aspects of information needs and information behavior (her main research focus), aspects of information literacy such as workplace information literacy and distance learning programs in information literacy, bridging the digital divide, the role of the library in various contexts, legal depositories, and information services in various contexts.

Emily Vardell, PhD, is associate professor in the School of Library and Information Management at Emporia State University, Emporia, KS. She teaches graduate courses on the foundations of library and information science, reference services, research methods, health sciences librarianship, and disaster preparedness in libraries. Vardell’s research interests are in health information behavior with a focus on health insurance literacy and how people make health insurance decisions. She has received numerous research and teaching awards, including MLA's Lucretia W. McClure Excellence in Education Award (2023), MLA’s Ida and George Eliot Prize (2019), the Beta Phi Mu Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship (2017), the UNC Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science Deborah Barreau Award for Teaching Excellence (2016), and a Fulbright Award (2005 to 2006). Vardell is also co-editor of the book Health Literacy and Libraries (Rowman & Littlefield; 2024) and editor of the book The Medical Library Association Guide to Answering Questions about the Affordable Care Act (Rowman & Littlefield; 2016). She has authored articles published in the Journal of the Medical Library Association, Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, Journal of Documentation, Information Research, and Medical Reference Services Quarterly.

Dr Mohammad Hassanzadeh is a Professor of knowledge and Information Sciences at Tarbiat Modares University, Iran. He received his PhD from Ferdowsi University, Mashhad in 2006. He was appointed to the Department of Management and Economics at Tarbiat Modares University in 2001 as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Full Professor in 2019. Dr Hassanzadeh has made over 250 scholarly contributions, including more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers and over 45 books (Nov, 2020) in addition to being co-investigator on numerous major research initiatives. Among his books are Knowledge Management, Concepts and Infrastructures, Popularization of Science from Theory to Practice, Information Retrieval and Knowledge Economy. He has been visiting professor at several other universities as a lecturer and has supervised over 200 Master’s and PhD dissertations. He has been appointed to varied managerial and administrative positions in Higher Education including Director of the Center for the Development of Humanities Technologies, Consultant to Business Intelligence (BI) Initiative, Head of the department for Humanity Technologies Incubator and Director of Technology Development and Transfer Office, Modares ST Park through the years. For his research efforts he was awarded the “Article of the Year” award by the Library and Information Science Society for Asia and the Pacific (LISSASPAC) in 2017. Dr. Hassanzadeh co-developed, and is the managing editor of The International Journal of Learning Spaces Studies and The International Journal of Knowledge Processing Studies. He also serves as an editor-in-chief for The International Journal of Digital Content Management and The Journal of Information Science and Techniques. Prof Hassanzadeh currently is president of the Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology.

Alireza Isfandyari-Moghaddam received the BA and MA degrees in Library and Information Science from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (Iran) in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He currently holds a Ph.D in Library and Information Science which was received at Islamic Azad University, Sciences, and Research Branch, Tehran in year 2009. In addition to being a faculty member of the Islamic Azad University, Hamedan Branch (Department of Knowledge and Information Science) – with more than 100 articles indexed in WoS and Scopus – he is now a member of the Emerald Literati Network and the reviewer as well as editorial board member or editorial review board of some scientific journals including The Bottom Line.
